behavior system
By Bonnie

Clip to ScrapBook
The simpler, the better. It is a lot to manage a first grade classroom at the beginning of the school year. You dfenitely want to recognize good behavior but it can be very time consuming to keep moving circles for 25 kids all day when they are being good.

I keep a running list of positive things each day. I have a sign on the end of the board which says, "Things We DId Very Well Today." They can range from everyone came to school on time to the class lined up quietly to everyone got right to work on a task.

Good luck in first grade.
