Door idea. . .
By Christin

Clip to ScrapBook
If you are okay with the idea of changing your decoration throughout the year I think the idea of having a "Get to know me!" door for the first 4 weeks or so (granted this is hard if you have a LARGE class size). Allow your students to write their name in any manner/ color they choose (again size may play a part) and then have them write under their names a fun fact about themselves: their favorite sport, or something exciting that they really like about themselves. Then they can display this on your door as a sort of "get to know about me" feature for the year beginning. Of course you can start the door off with your name and a fun fact about yourself. Just an idea
