sports theme
By Anngee

Clip to ScrapBook
I am also using a sports theme in my classroom. I also found a lot of really good ideas posted in the Archives, and also on the Bulletin Board and Theme Board. There are some good postings from back in June. In addition,
I have made pennants with a month written on each one. I punched small holes in the ends and tied yarn onto them so they would look more like real ones. I then wrote in the kids names and birthdates on the appropriate months.
I've also used yellow poster board to make a large bat. On the bat I have written "Hit the Books!" This hangs over my library area. I plan to have the
kids write the titles of books they have read throughout the year on baseballs which we will hang either from the ceiling or on the wall behind the library area.
Good luck with your theme planning.
