Pretty ironic: talkative teachers

I chuckled when I read your post about blabbermouths. It reminded me of a few yrs ago - During my student teaching I would attend faculty meetings with my supervising teacher in order to get a feel for what when on. I was stunned. The principal is up there trying to get started and teachers were just talking away - yak yak yak. I was embarrased for the principal, but soon realized that many teachers are simply unaware or rude - I dont know which. I've been to other meetings and such and constantly see it going on. Just talking away even though the "speaker" is obviously ready to start the meeting or inservice or whatever. Pretty ironic dont you think?
