word families

I saw this cute idea recently. The teacher took a picture of each student and mounted it on the top half of long construction paper. She wrote the child's name under the picture and found a word family in each child's name. Then, she listed words from the word family under the name. The picture/word family mini poster was then place on the child's cubby (It just happened to be the right size, ant it had a door.)
