Open House

Our school has Open House which is about 3 weeks after school has begun. I'm going to do this with my class this year-as a matter of fact, I just learned this today!Using Ellison Machine cutouts: there's a large (construction | paper sized) board of a picture frame collage. It has an oval in the middle and squares and rectangles around it. Outline the "picture" part and give the outlined paper to the kids and have them draw things in it. Put the Ellison cutout over their pictures and it's their drawings of things. I'm having a format so they all draw the same way and the same side. Also, under | |
every open space for a "picture", they have a title. My titles are: My Family, Me, Favorite Animals/Pets, Summer Fun (vacations), Favorite Birthday, Friends, Fun and Games.
