Just to let you know, they usually do not require you to teach the first week. I am sure you cooperating teacher will allow you to gradually take over as opposed to taking over all at once. Just be firm and use the same
discipline techniques your teacher uses so you don't confuse them. I subbed at an elementary school last year and many times for 1st grade. I loved 1st grade. , your teacher won't leave you hanging. WHile she is teaching, take notes on her many, phrases she uses to go from one activity to the next, discipline tone, etc. Taking notes allows you to recall and use techniques you find
valuable with out forgetting. I always would say "oh, that was a great idea" then later forget and wished I had written it down. Relax, take a deep breath and good Luck
