messy room
By Deb

Clip to ScrapBook
Wow, I'm sorry you were left with such a mess to clean up! At our school, before we leave for the summer we're "supposed" to take everything off the walls, clean off our desks, put everything up basically for the year.
Then during the summer a cleaning crew comes in and cleans the room from top to bottom...waxing floors, wiping down desks/chalkboards/shelves, etc. It seems like the teacher before you left in a hurry, especially if she left behind personal items and didn't send in book money. I'd ask around to find out why she left and maybe fill up a box with her personal items to be stored away in case
she comes back to collect them. I'd also do what the other poster suggested with turning the book order money into your principal. Let he/she deal with it. I'm sure the teacher is receiving bills at the school from scholastic or whoever the orders were placed to. I wish you lots of luck!! Have a great year!
