Teaching is a very rewarding career! There are definitely stressors that go along with the job, but that's in every career. If the people you are talking to are that negative then they need to get out!!!! If that's all I heard I would probably be discouraged too!

I've always said, "I don't want to be one of those people who complains about and dreads going to work. I want to be one of those people who enjoys and looks forward to going to work." And you know what? I do enjoy and look forward to going to work!
