homework
By Chris

Clip to ScrapBook
I expect my students to read for 15 mins each night as well as practice math facts and spelling words. I assign other homework on Monday and Wednesday. I collect the work on Wednesday and Friday which gives the students
two days to complete their work. My goal is that this teaches time management. This works out really well for students who are doing extracurricular activities and have busy family lives. I also assign a weekly parent/child assignment to ensure that the students and parents learn that it is important to work and learn together. These are simple assignments such as finding solids/liquids/gases
around the house and listing them appropriately. They have until the next Monday to complete the assignment. I've gotten good feedback from this method of homework from the families.
