I'm hoping you are not teaching if you are relating children to monkeys. That is a very absurd comment. However, I do question Stacia Jasmine also. There are ways to use constructive rewards and they work. It's even recommended by many positive discipline programs along with respecting students. My questions with her come from her comments of perfectionism. Comments of her saying something and students never doing them again. That would be a sight because I have never seen that in my history especially at this level. Children learn these behaviors outside of school and it would be a rare occasion that one teacher comment can change a behavior. Makes me go hmmm!
