Clip to ScrapBook
I understand your post about forming deep friendships with people. At our school, though, some people are obviously exclusive and it has caused hurt feelings. It's hurtful when a new teacher sits down in the teacher's lounge for lunch and hears the other teachers talking about plans they are making without inviting the others sitting there. Some people just don't have tact when it comes to that. Luckily, after I have been at my school for awhile, new teachers have come in and I've tried to be welcoming and friendly to these people and have found some good friends. But my first year or two was very rough.. I felt like everyone had their cliques already and weren't too eager to add new people.
