co-teachers

In my school district, co-teachers jointly teach in the classroom but specialize in working with our special population kids. Because you have two teachers in the room, you should be able to differentiate the instruction more to meet any modification needs. I have found that, while it actually takes longer to plan in the beginning, co-teaching really helps when you've got a high percentage of kids with disabilities.
