EEK! I just went back to leave my portfolio...
By Holly

Clip to ScrapBook
After thinking about it, I was really wishing I had left my portfolio after my ineterview this morning. I put a lot of time into assembling it this week, with pictures and things I've done with my classes in the past.

So...
I went back just now. I thought I would just leave it with the secretary, but it turned out that everyone was taking a lunch break. I could hear them in the principal's lounge. I debated what to do, then finally got brave and walked back toward the lounge saying "hello?" Oh it was not a good feeling, LOL. But the principal was polite. I apologized to interrupt them/her, but I
wanted them to have my portfolio if it came down to it, because it told a lot more about me than I had shared this morning.

She had stood up immediately to meet me outside of the lounge, and took the portfolio to her office right away, saying thank you, that she would definitely look through it. I couldn't tell if she was sincere or just being polite, ugh!

I had our 10-month-old on my hip, and she rubbed his head, said Cute Baby. I was wondering if having a baby (we also have an almost-3-year-old!) might be a concern for a potential employer... I was also hoping I wouldn't "lose points" for interrupting their lunch break, or being thoughtless in not leaving the portfolio to begin with.

SIGH!!!

Regardless, I'm glad that she might look through it.

Okay, I need to go run around the block or something. =o)

!!!
