I also do cursive only

I do a cursive packet about the first two weeks of school. After that, all assignments are done in cursive. I make it fun for the kids and have a countdown on the board to say when it is "Cursive Only". I do send a letter home explaining the switch and that assignments must be done in cursive. For children that really struggle, I suggest Cursive without Tears. It is a book they can order. Usually, once they hear that they have to buy something, they are fine with my policy. I make ALL students write in cursive, unless they are on an IEP or 504 that states for them to not do it.
