Ralph Fletcher books
By lynn

Clip to ScrapBook
Have you tried any of the lessons from the Ralph Fletcher Books? We had him as a visiting author for teachers. He is G-R-E-A-T! What a Writer Needs Writing Workshop, The Essential Guide, and Nonfiction Craft Lessons, Teaching
Information Writing K-8. The simple well presented lessons help children learnand teachers do some necessary skills but let everyone try writing. (that means the teacher too, because kids like to see your writings). They will become authors and the stories will be fabulous. It takes time but it is well worth the investment. I use my computer lab to put the final story together
in a power point presentation and insert or let the kids draw the illustration. The books can be a single author or a group of children together. They have the responsibility of doing the research, writing and conferencing with the teacher when they are ready. If the topic is too broad - let them discover it after a few days of research. The time will not be wasted. Good luck!
