Sponge Bob Art
By JRK

Clip to ScrapBook
I used Sponge Bob as a gimmick to get my students from mixing colors when we were sharing containers during art. I started with a sponge painting tree art project and I took about a minute to make an analogy about how the first sponge was "Sponge Bob red pants" and he can only be dipped in the red and so on for each color. The kids totally responded to it and I used the reference all year long even when we used brushes or finger painting - Sponge paint pink pants or sponge finger green paints.
