Meetings...
By Elaine AZ

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, Crystal. I don't know if you're new to teaching but this is an all-too-common occurrence. My biggest pet peeve are the "early release" days (now called "professional development days") in my district. Talk about a waste of time. I'd MUCH rather be teaching my kids than wasting valuable time in another useless meeting, training, or other "professional development" situation. I often take some kind of work with me so that I can do it during the meeting. However, on those RARE occasions the meeting is useful, my work waits until later. I don't say and do this out of disrespect for anyone in particular, so please don't be offended if you (any reader of this post) are in charge of these kinds of meetings, etc.
