Clip to ScrapBook
All these shifts should be taken care of at the end of the school year, not in August. Yes there are last minute emergencies that might require a shift, but for the most part, an on-the-ball administrator should have made
these decisions long ago. We had many changes this year, but the teachers were all told at the final staff meeting in May. My best friend is moving grade levels for the third time in three years! Sometomes when you are a good sport, or very flexible, you get taken advantage of. This time she was politely asked to change because if the kdg. teacher didn't have a drastic chacge after 22
years she, the K teacher, would be asked to "retire." My friend knows she can do a great job there in K, but cries from the stress of it and has spent her summer preparing for another change. We only have one of every grade. Lucky me, I get the teacher who was forced to move as a neighbor, and she is a yeller.
