magazine holders

Clip to ScrapBook
I use corrugated cardboard magazine holders for my groups. I clothespin an index card vertically on the top of the opening with the students' names written in pencil (it makes it easier to move students around). I then put the books I plan to use with that groupd in the magazine holder. I use the same thing for browsing boxes--each group has their own box. These work great. I have a 3 ring binder I keep a record of each group, what they read and any anectodal or teaching notes. I use one page landscape, divided in half and then divided for each day of the week so one page lasts for two school weeks. I store this along with their color coded reading folders in an open file box.
