Something else
By Jenn

Clip to ScrapBook
Here's something else to think about. Our market is really tight too! My graduating class had 42 in education and 15 received jobs. I was lucky, and I teach in a small school district. I had heard to be patient because
of the August scramble. It didn't happen. I took my job offer the first week of July and was so thankful because the August scramble didn't happen. I tried to change this year to a bigger district with no avail. I still feel very fortunate because the rest of my graduating class are still without jobs. I've heard that one year isn't enough, that you have to get two years in so they
know you are rehired. I will most likely try again next year. Just know I'm thankful I took mine even in the corn fields. I'm even thankful I have it to go back to next year. The drive isn't great but the district is good. I love teaching and would hate to be without a job. I would even hate to be subbing even though I did enjoy it, I love my classroom!
