scrapbooks

Clip to ScrapBook
I have my students make scrapbooks every year. They design/decorate their cover on white construction paper. I have them include their name, my name, school name, and year. Then I laminate them. They then choose about
10-12 pieces of colored construction paper and we staple them to the laminated cover. Instant scrapbook! In one of my filing cabinets, I have a file for each student. Anything they want to keep, (tests, drawings, stickers, cards, etc.) they put in their own file. I also give certificates for tests they get 100% on that they can keep. I keep all the scrapbooks on a shelf. Then about 3
times a year we get out their scrapbooks and anything they have in their file, and we spend about 20 minutes or so gluing them in. I remind them that this is THEIR scrapbook, so they can write in it and keep whatever they feel is important. At the end of the year, they take home this great book of memories. I have students who are now in High School that still have their 4th grade scrapbook!
