glue in caps
By ck

Clip to ScrapBook
One of the posters mentioned putting Elmers glue (we call it "drippy glue")in small cups & applying with brushes. I save the caps from milk cartons and use these to hold the glue. It holds the right amount, and there aren't
tip over issues & it doesn't cost anything extra like little cups! When the kids are done with the project, the caps go into the trash & brushes go into a soup can of warm soapy water to be cleane dout later by eager classroom volunteers. I also use them for painting projects when only a little paint is needed. When my supply gets low, I just send home a note to parents & I get plenty!
I
do prefer glue sticks on certain projects, but they do have a shelf life. At first I thought I found a great deal, purchasing multi-pack glue sticks at the dollar store, only to find out that many of them were old & partly dried up already. Left overs from the previous year's classroom supply were also found to be dried out (even if they were still in the bubble card!) This year I have tried sealing those left over extras in ziplock bags, hoping to keep them from drying out over the summer.
