Library Card Holders
By Chicago Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
I used the corner of a bulletin board. Each student had a library card holder with their name on it. I laminated colored strips that said "Hot Lunch", "Sack Lunch", "Store", and "Charge" (forgot a lunch). One of their duties to get ready for the day was to "pull their lunch card". I liked this system because it was easy to see who wasn't there, and the kids who were going to use a lunch ticket could put it in their card holder so they wouldn't lose it. Kids who were going to get something at the school store kept their money in their holder. (I was a little worried about money theft, but it didn't happen all year.)
