Muggie Maggie

Muggie Maggie is a short chapter book by Beverly Cleary that my class read together toward the middle of the year. I think it had 8 or 9 short chapters. The book begins with Maggie starting 3rd grade - the basic plot is that they start to learn cursive and she stubbornly decides she doesn't want to. My class loved it. It would be a fun read aloud for the first week or early in the year.
