I can say that classroom management was most important for me. So whatever you can do now (design reward systems, responsibilities, behavior contracts). Also, like the previous poster mentioned, be ready for not only low skills but many varying abilities. That's one thing I would keep in mind during preparation. Try to find resources for many different levels. Pump yourself up this summer and write down why you choose this profession. Sometimes it's comforting to read when you're overwhelmed. Good Luck!
