Reggio
By AnnMarie

Clip to ScrapBook
Reggio (project approach) is a method of teaching in which an in-depth study of a particular topic is conducted by a child or group of children.

Basically it is child oriented, it let's children use their own imagination
and creativity to facilitate their own learning.

For example, say your children in your class seem to be interested in ants. You would then ask them what they know about ants, what they would like to learn about ants? From there you and the children would research. You would give them
all sorts of material to make an ants home , make an ant, draw ants, sculpt ants out of clay etc.

In

Reggio they use a lot of clay, and natural materials as well there is a lot of documentation.
documentation on what the children are doing, what they say etc.

I hope this helps you!
What school will you be working at?
