The book "Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon" begins with a class studying different countries around the world. And I have gone completely blank on the author's name :o(

Anyway, not only is it a cute book for the children to read, it really does include as part of the story some great ideas for studying this. They had "passports," pretended they boarded a plane, etc., etc., etc.

I think "Mailbox" magazine had a "passport" pattern and other travel type things in an issue within the last few years. Maybe you can find that, too.
