5th graders

I'm 26 too, and this is going to be my 4th year of teaching 5th grade. I found out the hard way not to be TOO nice the first weeks of school...and it was HARD!! I tried it the 2nd year I taught and I was able to be nice the REST of the year. My 5th graders have enjoyed stickers and prizes too, and we have an auction at the end of each semester, so they work hard to earn "money" for the auction, by behaving and finishing homework. Hope this was helpful!
