I like to read Where Does the Teacher Live? It's about 4 second graders who wonder where their teacher lives. So they play detective and try to find out. It has a surprise ending. Before I read it I have them fold a sheet of paper in half, card style. On the front they draw where they think Mrs. Greengrass, the teacher, lives. Then I read the story. After I've read the story they draw in the center opening where Mrs. Greengrass actually lives. On the back of the paper they draw where they think I live. I live on a farm. I teach in town so they usually don't know!
