pens

Clip to ScrapBook
It is part of our writing process not to erase. This is not because I don't like the way it looks , it is so I can see what they wrote the first time they wrote a word. The children must edit their work, and they are taught not to erase a misspelled word, but to write the correct word above it. If they write in pencil, they are more likely to erase the misspelled word and then write in the correct one. This would prevent me from seeing how they are writing in order to help them. I have not seen the use of pens harm them at all. It is the same as using a pencil, they just don't erase.

I also supply pencils, because they can use them for math and for some worksheets.
