Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught third grade for a while. I have tried one thing after another. I have experienced the same things some of the others have said. This year I found something that was really easy for me. I had my class in 5 groups with 4 kids in each group. The groups were named for the days of the week. They were set up with one of the Kagan Structures. The students were numbered 1,2,3,4. I had 4 jobs (pass out papers, runner, line leader, classroom helper). Each job was numbered 1-4. I had to change this weekly. The week that line leader was number 1, Monday 1 was line leader on Mon., Tues 1 on Tues. etc. I had to change the job chart only once a week, but the jobs were switched out daily.
