Clip to ScrapBook
***Give lots of feedback: talk a lot about what went well to give encouragement (I was REALLY nervous starting teaching) and also give lots of helpful hints on how to make things run smoother (I still remember things my cooperating
teacher about management and discipline).

***Classroom management is sometimes an issue with new teachers. Give lots of helpful tips about this area. (A book I HIGHLY recommend is "Setting Limits in the Classroom".. I can't remember the author. That might be a nice little gift to give your teacher).

*** I had two placements and one of my cooperating teachers would leave

the room for the majority of the day and just leave me on my own. I didn't know what I was doing right and what could be better. I wish she would have been around a little more to give me advice.
