Binder or Pocket folder By Mary

|
I have taught 3rd grade for three years and this year I am getting rid of the binder. In our school, third graders love their supplies because many of the younger grades have community supplies, but I have found that, number| one I don't use the binder that much, and number two it takes up so much space. This year I will have folders. One for Home/School, where the students will put homework, notices and so forth to be brought to and from school. One folder for math, one for "unit" work (usually social studies and science), and one to keep "work" in. Any special handouts I give will go in those folders. | | For literacy I also use a folder and a spiral notebook. We will see how it works. If it doesn't work out, I think we will go back to binders, but require a 1".
