Guiding Readers and Writers By Debbie
|
| Hi Kathleen, It really depends upon with what you're wanting help...you should be transitioning to the GR & W model for a literacy block after mid year in second. But, there are lots of other great professional books out there, again depending upon your focus this year. Do check the used book sections of Amazon or Barnes and Noble to see if you can pick up GR & W for less. Companions to Guided Reading are Word Matters which is designed to help you with the word study component of your LAB. Interactive writing is also useful for the reading - writing connections. If you have a specific topic in mind, say Writer's Workshop, etc. there are other books that would give you more specifics on that topic. Post again with what you're wanting to revision for next year...or see Heinemann and Stenhouse publishers for some of the best professional resources you will find. Best of luck! ;-D
