Esperanza Rising
By robin

Clip to ScrapBook
I just finished this book with my kids, and I had them design a presentation to our class about the Mexican Revolution. I felt that it would help them to better understand the division between Miguel and Esperanza and their families. I just gave them a few guiding questions (What were the Mexicans seeking with the revolution?, Who were the key players?, and Were their effort successful?) They did a great job, and it definitely helped them to better understand the role that segregation was playing in the events of the book.
