What I've learned...

After doing a little research, this is what I've discovered:
*as far as I can gather, the US is the only country in the world that still allows corporal punishment.
*27 states have outlawed it, and many more are in the process of doing so.
*In the year 2000, there were 342,048 documented incidents of corporal punishment in the US.
*In one state, one out of every ten children is paddled each year.
PLEASE...keep in mind that I am not condemning or accusing anyone on this site. I just did not realize that corporal punishment was still legal and was shocked by some of the statistics I came upon (most of which I decided not to post for fear of misinterpertation.)
