My district uses the Making Words program by Patricia Cunningham. A great book to use is Month-by-Month Phonics for the Upper Grades by Cunningham. Each month you focus on five goals that help get the kids spelling better by learning spelling patterns. My kids love the activities. There's a wide range for the lower as well as the higher kids.
