onsets and rimes
By dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I am taking a Master's class, and I just happened to be studying for a mid term on this very thing.

Onsets are the initial consonants of a word (/k/ in cat
Rimes is the vowel unit that follows the onset
(at in cat)
Rhyme is words like cat, bat, mat etc.
Back to my mid term!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
