Parents telling you how to do your job
By dyslexic teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Invite this parent over for 1 day to be a classroom helper. Observe her reading with her daughter. Then you'll find out who's doing the real reading. Don't feel bad, this happens at least once a week. I always invite the parent to show me what she does that gets her child to read, so I can use that strategy in class...they never show up.
