Learning the Order of the Planets By Ann

My kids love this sentence: My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas.

I tell the kids Mercury ends in a "y" just as "My" does so that's how you know Mercury is the first planet closest to the sun. Therefore, Mars is for "Mother", the 4th planet.

Some of my children changed the sentence a bit- Ecstatic, Energetic, Pizzas, Pies, Potatoes. Have fun!
