On the bright side By Kim

Kathleen,
Although K isn't your first choice, the bright side is that if you stay there next year you will know the curriculum and it won't be like being first year all over again. Changing grade levels would mean learning a brand new curriculum and in my state having a WHOLE bunch of accountability (state testing,etc.) I hope things work out for you!
