individual's behaviors - rewards

One thing my students complain about it is being punished for the bad behaviors. I see your point that I can control this by ignoring the bad behaviors. Thank you for your help.My kids are in middle school, therefore, they do not have recess. Our school is also out in the country with only a gas station a half mile away. What other suggestions would anyone have for rewards?
