Breakfast Book Club

I hope this reply isn't too late, but here's one other idea. You could conduct a "Breakfast Book Club" every few weeks -- either before school (optional) or as a morning class (required). I did this with my students. We discussed a book once a month, had activities related to it, and enjoyed some bagels/fruit/etc. It made seemed to make reading a lot more fun for the students!
