Unemployment

In my state if you quit a job or are fired you can not seek unemployment. Also if you are notified by a certain point in the year that you will not be rehired - you cannot seek unemployment. Regulations for unemployment checks vary from state to state - not a federal thing. I worked 10 years for a school district and was laid off - could not receive unemployment because school employees are considered temporary employees.
