wedding invites

I am planning a wedding for this summer and I thought a nice touch would be to have my students help in the making of the invitations. I teach kindergarten and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for designs. I was thinking of something with handprints or stamping. Something that would look nice on the front and then I would fill our the inside. Has anyone ever done this? How did it work out?
