You could always integrate geography before you teach the lesson. You could have the students make states and put specific information if you would like such as capitals major cities, major bodies of water, etc on the states they have and then they can put the map together like a puzzle on the wall. Once it's up and they start learning about the route Lewis and Clark took, they can draw the route on the map.
