I'm sorry, I really disagree with "swatting" children. Obviously it is not working anyway, so why not try something new? There has to be rewards and consequences for behavior. I would just try to treat your child like you would your other students. Do you have a classroom management plan? I use the Stoplight System by Laura Candler. Here is a link:
