ability grouping
By Connie

Clip to ScrapBook
I have grouped by ability in the past. What I found was that the low group seemed to drag each other down lower and lower. When they read aloud it is boring for them to listen to each other read, they then become behavior problems.

I do mini-lessons with students that have a problem in areas that we come across during the school year. We address the problem, work on it and then press on with the material.
