During centers the children get to either paint the words at the easel....I write them really big with bubble letters or they trace over prepared and laminated words with clay. Sometimes I have them use chopsticks and trace over the words with beans. I also play roll a vowel. I have the word written missing the vowels and they have to roll a teacher made vowel cube and find the correct vowels. We also play hopscotch using the HF instead of numbers.
